Awesome Toronto events happening July 1-3

Hey hey! It’s the long weekend and that means fireworks, food, music, red and white stuff, poutine and Mounties. Here’s a listing of the fireworks happening in TO, plus a few other awesome activities to check out this weekend to celebrate Canada Day #149 in Toronto!

 

FIREWORKS – July 1

 

Ashbridges Bay

Starting at 9:30 pm, this is one of the biggest fireworks shows in the city.

Harbourfront Centre

Remember Sharon, Lois and Bram? Not sure what happened to Lois, but the other two are performing, as well as Nomadic Massive, at the Harbourfront Centre. Fireworks happen at 10:40 pm.

Centennial Park

Stuff your face with ribs before watching the fireworks! Toronto RibFest 2016 runs all weekend at Centennial Park, but the fireworks go off July 1 at 10:00 pm.

Canada’s Wonderland

Or, ride rides all day then watch the fireworks at Canada’s Wonderland. They start at 10:00 pm. They’re promising over 6,000 explosions. Count them and report back.

Stan Wadlow Park

The day starts at noon with live music and a market, then fireworks starting around 10:00 pm.

Mel Lastman Square

Get there at 5:00 pm for the start of the live music, bball hoop performances, circus shows and then the fireworks at 10:15.

Downsview Park

Fireworks start at about 10:00 pm.

 

Redpath Waterfront Festival

Music, food, artisans, tall ships an obstacle course and performances for all ages, right on the waterfront.

When to go: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, various times

Where at? Waterfront, from the base of Bay at the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal, west to HTO Park.

Tickets: Admission is free

 

Pride Streetfair

The Pride Toronto community is putting on a fair with vendors and music all around the Church and Wellesley Village.

When to go: Friday 7 pm- 2 am, Saturday noon-2 am, Sunday noon-11 pm

Where at? Church and Wellesley
