Whether you’re into jazz or rock, you my friend are going to have an excellent weekend. That’s because this weekend is the Kensington Market Jazz Festival (your lower-budget option) and the TURF festival (if you’ve got cash to spare). The latter is putting the likes of the Barenaked Ladies, Death Cab for Cutie, the Weens and James Bay on stage.
Or, you could take a totally different route and walk in support of gingers. Or ditch the gingers and see beefcake guys strut around downtown. All part of the fun events happening this weekend in Toronto, September 16-18.

2nd Annual Canadian Ginger Walk
Bet you didn’t know there was a Canadian Ginger Association, and there’s even a walk for gingers. Support the poor soul-less gingers you know and love by walking in this totally weird, funny and supportive event. Bring signs, funny or otherwise.
When to go: Sunday, 3-4 pm
Where at? Trinity Bellwoods Park
Tickets: Admission is free
TIFF Bachelor Party
There’s one very misleading thing about this event: It’s called a bachelor party, but a bachelor party it is not. Nay, my friends, it is a party to adore hunky studs. Those hunky studs would be Robby Hayes, Vinny Ventiera, Jared Haibon, Brett Melnick and Tenley Molzhan of Bachelor in Paradise. Sponsored by Eligible Magazine (whaaa!!) and somehow using the name TIFF, the event includes a red carpet component, some photo ops, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and an afterparty.
When to go: Friday, red carpet starts at 7:30
Where at? The Everleigh, 580 King W
Tickets: $50
